LAKEWOOD, Los Angeles County — October 25, 2026. The City of Lakewood has announced its traditional Halloween Carnivals for Saturday, October 31, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with activities at eight different Lakewood parks. The city lists general admission as free, while noting that certain special attractions have an additional charge. Residents should select the park most convenient to their neighborhood and verify directions before leaving.

Which eight parks are participating?

The 2026 municipal event page names Biscailuz, Bloomfield, Bolivar, Boyar, Del Valle, Mayfair, Palms and San Martin parks. The planned themes differ: Biscailuz is themed around Zootopia 2; Bloomfield, Toy Story; Bolivar, K-Pop Demon Hunters; Boyar, Dr. Seuss; Del Valle, Scooby-Doo; Mayfair, Monsters, Inc.; Palms, Minions; and San Martin, Ghostbusters. These are the city’s planned celebration themes, not claims about sponsorship or participation by the owners of those entertainment franchises.

Where are the haunted houses?

The city lists haunted-house attractions at Bolivar, Del Valle and San Martin parks. It also advertises inflatable attractions at Mayfair Park for an additional fee. Not all activities are available at every location. Before visiting, check the city page for last-minute safety, weather, access or schedule changes.

Volunteering and accommodations

Lakewood is recruiting volunteers for carnival booths and other festival activities. Families who want to help or need event accommodations can reach the city’s recreation staff at (562) 866-9771, extension 2408, or ecatalog@lakewoodca.gov. For disability-related accommodations, the city publishes AccessRecreation@lakewoodca.gov.

The city’s calendar also advertises a free Survive for 7 emergency-preparedness workshop on October 27, teaching residents how to help households manage the first week after a disaster. The city says no advance registration is required, but participants should verify venue and start time with the official city calendar.
